THE ABINGDON CRAFTS FESTIVAL -
17th-20th OCTOBER 2007 AND 23rd-26th OCTOBER 2008
(CLOSED TUESDAY 21st AND WEDNESDAY 22nd OCTOBER) - MEDIEVAL
ABBEY BUILDINGS, ABINGDON, OXON.
Many events take place in and around Abingdon of which we can be proud, none
more so than the craft and design show that takes place every year in the
Medieval Abbey Buildings.
From all over the country artists, craftspeople and designers will be there
displaying and selling their work.
Almost overnight it becomes like an Aladdin’s cave, with beautiful crafts
and art in abundance.
You will find ceramics – fashion – jewellery – glass – silks – toys –
furniture – paintings – prints - wooden bowls
Knitwear – carpets – leather –Christmas decorations – and more – and more.
And then there is the food marquee where you can buy tasty pork pies and
delicious fruit tarts, olives and cheeses, and liquors and confectionary.
This is a show that is worth a visit or two; you will find something special
for yourself, friend or family.
You cannot afford to miss it.
So visit this delightful treasury in a setting that itself is a treasure. You
will be very pleased that you went.

Fairs
Mary Holland Craft Fairs will be running the Abingdon
Craft Festival next year from 17th to 26th October 2008.
Mary Holland Craft Fairs will not
be running shows at either Coughton Court or Tring Park next year and will have
no part in such shows as may in the future be run at these locations. Mary
Holland Craft Fairs Limited has not sold on these locaitons to any other
organisations.
Quality is the hallmark of the Mary Holland
Abingdon Craft Festival with crafts people and the general
public. To maintain this enviable reputation, exhibitors displaying the highest standards
of workmanship and originality are actively sought. The Company endeavours to promote an
understanding and appreciation of craft skills by encouraging demonstrations where space
permits.
